I shot a moose in Alaska once straight into the chest at 30 yards.
He turned and I shot him right through the lungs behind the shoulder.
As he started to walk away the guy with me shot him in the head with a 22-250 and he dropped like a rock.
The thing was about 7 feet at the withers.
So do recommend 22-250 for moose. Nope but what Flea says is true, those little guns will kill a big animal if shot right.
I consider a 22-250 to be to much gun for a short range coyote.
