yes it works good...just change with your choke to get a decent pattern out of it. It is alittle expensive...good luck.

I was told to NOT buy them as you get raped on them. Was told that they were not any better than what you have laying in the bottom of your hunting box.

You were told wrong! I know no other load that will flatten a coyote at 50 to 60 yards consistantly. Are they expensive? Not in my mind if they work. Alot of things are expensive........Callers, guns, ammo, scopes, bipods, camo clothes, hunting boots, and fuel to just drive around to call. 6 of one and a half dozen of another. It is all relative.

They are hard to find. I get mine at the Sportsmens Warehouse in Phoenix. Every gun shoots them different. My O/U Red Label has 2 different chokes as one barrel uses a Mod and the other uses a Full choke to give me the best patern. Steve

What I've used from them is exceptional......you gotta spend a little $ and pattern your gun......If you aren't going to pattern your gun save the $$ and watch a video...LOL
Expensive shells is like expensive lure.......It's the least expensive part of the the investment.

Word on the street is that Remington will no longer be producing Hevi-Shot loads and EnvironMetal, the guys who developed it, will be the only manufacturer of loaded Hevi-Shot ammo.

I checked out the natchez site..are they only one shot size? Are they smaller than lead BB as that is as big here as we can use.

The coyote shot is T size, which I believe is one size larger than BBB.

How can you say they are expencive? a good prime winter yote will go for around $20.00 so you get one and you just bought the next box, get 2 and you just made a profit . I bought a box at Gander Mountain but haven't tried then yet. haven't had the chance to get out and do any calling . woody

Well I broke the ice and bought a new 11-87 super mag for this purpose. I thought that Fleet Farms price on 3 1/2" Dead coyotes was $28 for 10 shells. Does that sound right? What kind of a pattern can I expect at 50 and 60 yards? Is the full choke the correct one to use? The 11-87 comes with 3 different choke tubes. I bought my gun on sale at Fleet farm and saved $150.00 lower than Gander Mountain. I can buy lots of shells for that. HP

HP, $28 sounds about right for them. Now, you just have to go out and try each choke to see which one shots the best and at different yards. Tell how your arm feels tomorrow! ;D

No, Hevi-Shot is very hard and you should use about the same chokes for it that you'd use for steel. It WILL damage the choke eventually being that it's as hard as it is. I've used Hevi-Shot on waterfowl for a few years now and on my goose loads of #2 and B shot I used a modified tube out of my Berettas. A couple months ago I got a Pattern Master choke tube that's specifically for large steel shot and Hevi-Shot and it patterns very tight at 50 yds with both Hevi-Shot and tungsten-iron. Check Ebay for choke tubes, I found great deals there, search.ebay.com/remington-choke-tube_W0QQfkrZ1QQfromZR8

Yeah, 5 boxes (50 rounds) of Hevi-Shot. Woohoo !!!!!
Problem is that even handloading Hevi-Shot is damn pricey, $100 for a 7lb. jar. And I've not seen the T shot size available by the jar yet.

My only problem is that with all this predator hunting, trapping, fishing, deer turkey and goose hunting along with building fur stretchers, I wouldn't have any time left over for reloading shells. HP
