"duplicated", I dare say all the women, housecats and etc in the world would never be safe again if there were doubles of all of us running around causing havoc. one set of the above generates enough troubles here and there as is! that is bubcat next to jameson, the yankee confederate, d.j. the tom revere of the nta on the other end. that is tommy pace, a trapper from texas as the last guy. I don`t know much about him, just met him this year. I suppose jameson and I go back the furthest. bob came to indiana summer coyote trapping back maybe early 80`s, been awhile, and stopped by the house several times when he was here. one trip he had scottbehren from wisconsin with him. havn`t seen him since then. I knew him before that but can`t remember how we met. bob, you remember? no internet then so that`s not it. bob ran the coyotes and `seng ragged up in the lafayette area back in those days. bob, I still see and talk to dwight couple times a year, same old dwight as always, just a little older.

Theres no doubt I dont think there will be the likes of us anymore once our days are numbered and we're sittin in a rocking chair or laying in some convalescent home somewhere. But I wouldnt have had it any other way. People use to think Wendt and I were nuts running all over the country catching fox and coyotes. Remember that Tpee you were sleepin in Wendt during those spring and late summer coyote lines. My leaky camp and barn roofs werent much better in Layfayette and Monitor.Ole dwight hurst was a good ole boy, helped me out alot all those years ago. Kept all those coyotes there and bought all my sang to boot.Gosh has it been that long ago, just seems like last week. Far as Scott Behrens goes I am not sure where you guys met. He had been on the convention circuit a while back thats where he and I got to be friends. Saw him last just after his wife died in Vegas at a WCT Seminar a few years back where I was instructing. Good boy and a good trapper. I made a big mistake showing him what "seng "was during that trip out he made with me to Indiana. He dug something like 5#or 6# of seng one afternoon. Then the bugger wouldnt share the booty with me after I was kind enough to show him the ropes. He came into camp late one nite with 2 coyotes and a big smile. I said you must have had a good day , he said yep. Great I said how many did you catch today? He said 2 coyotes. That isnt' that great I caught 7 coyotes and 2 fox. Then he pulled out the shirt he had on when he left that morning it was all bundled up and continued to smile at me as he opened it up. I thought I would choke when I saw all those roots . At that time dried "seng" was bringing almost $400 a lb. dried. What a load he had. I mean big mature manlike roots. Certainly beat my $50 coyotes and fox that day. I will never forget that day. Good memories. Dang Wendt you make me feel old all the time.I think I started out in Indiana in '82. Got some good photos from those days. I guess I did look kind of green around the edges back then in those old pics. Hey bob W. almost forgot I found an old photo of you and "Whimpy" the other day. Have some of that footage also with you and him on video too.You both sounded good trying to out howl and out talk each other. Also have one of your daughters with that opossum she had all dressed up like a baby doll in that doll carriage. (Amy? ) not sure which one.Now that was impressive. Cute little buggers them possums when they are all dressed up.

Yea like that will ever happen, I bet you and Wendt are found on the line someday in a peaceful state of mind when you go to the big trapping lands in the sky. Not that I am wanting that to ever happen. And people still think your nuts I was going to say there goes the website now that Jamison is here but I wont. Bob, welcome to the site and like was said above, have them hippers ready, it gets deep here, especially when we start on DJ about his possum hat and how old dirt is ;D woody

bunch of flyweights back in those days. I like the sweet little girl the best. always daddys #1. I`ll tell the one on the left, hub mershon, one of the better trappers in west central indiana at the time, and a truer friend one never had , and a wealth of information. hub has since passed, gone but never forgotten by those that knew him.

Hub, was a very good friend. He was a darn good all around trapper. Never snared much, but he didnt need to in those days. He caught over a 100 fox that year, part time, and in coyote country. That fellow in the middle took over a 100 fox to, in worse coyote country, that year as well. Plus well over 200 coyotes. Now that fellow on the right........ well, what can I say. He just had more hair back then! ;D I believe he caught 4 or 5 hundred fox that year!
