i didn't do it, but my dad told me that either 8 or 9 nights in a row he caught a gray fox in the same set, consecutive nights, this was about 20 years ago, so he cant remember exactly, but alot of grays in a row for sure....most I ever done on fox in one set is 3 or 4 in about the same time...

Set up this wheat stubble field once, in Indiana, with 16 snares. came back next day and had 12 critters and 3 bumped snares. I had a carcuss pile in the center of the field( Old Larry Whitman setup) , and I left that sucker set up all winter. I honestly do not remember how many critters( coyote, red and grey fox, and coon) I cought out of that field, but it was a heck of a bunch, maybe more. I set it up 2 years ago the same way, and all I snared was coyotes and a few coon. All the reds and greys are gone. I still caught 16 coyotes there in a 10 day period. Does that count as one set? hehe Steve

Bob, I been dodging rain drops for 3 months now. Last 3 weeks, been trying to find forest service gates that are not locked due to all the mud and ruts etc. so I can find a lion or two to call. Tough going for sure. Guess I will show ole Edge how to call a few coyotes when he gets here. Things are drying out right now, but we got more rain headed our way Sunday and Tuesday. Coyotes are all over. Paired up good and coming to the call real well. Strange thing though, I am getting lots of singles on some stands. Maybe I am just missing the mates as they come in. Saw you mentioned that you were getting lots of single too on another post. Unusual for sure at this time of year. Steve

14 coon in the same set 14 mornings in a row. Back when they were worth 25$ on the caucus. The same spot still has alot of coon but a flood came through and changed the bank. This 1/4 mile of creek is good for 25 to 35 coon every year. (Ton of doubles)
