What is the usual percent of yoy to adult coyotes that is normal? I always get a lot more adults. like only ten percent yoy this year. Seem to have less total coyotes too.

what I believe, is that a top heavy population of older adults, esp males, means a low population.
I think the % of YOY to adults should be in that 60% range, if a dynamic population.

Thanks for the reply steve. Even back in the early 2000s when we had a lot more coyotes they were mostly adults. I had my best year of 69 in a month, 55 one year. 45 in two weeks. This was with a two day check. Now I can't average even one a day. A lot of work for so few coyotes.

This line I am on now is all adult coyotes. And high percent is females. Was real mangy i have worked through the mangy ones so it seems. I think the pups might have died from it early on. Going to set 3 new farms today yesterday had 2 farms completely void of tracks.
