Its a good start, and shows that there is more to the issue than just knee jerk reactions

Pam first off many gun sales person are not trained in suicdal dealings, so that must be made clear. Gun sales persons have in the past refused sales to people for the very such issues brought up. That is in the rights of anyone licensed by the ATF in the process of selling firearms. I know of a few guys that refused sales because of what the person said to them, but let us be real and frank if people come in and stick to the sale the idea that anyone involved in gun sales has the training to pick up on less an obvious clues?
Case in point my we had 2 cases locally, one in a bass pro gun range where a lady bought a firearm went into the range and killed her self, the other was at a cabeals guy bought a gun went out and killed himself in his car in the parking lot, no blame can be placed on the gun sales person , as that kind of training would take months or more if people do no act or say some key things.
Adding more responsibility on the sales person is a hard sell, we can all be as pro active as possible but still not fail safe by any means. When I sold guns I asked questions and listened even when super busy so I had some type,of clue of the person filling out the 4473 , again if that's sales person feels un easy they can stop the sale at any point.
