What's the difference between reading and watching? The media is bias, did you see the Bernie supporters conflict with the police? Probably not!
Interesting commentary in today's edition of the Cumberland Times-News, Cumberland, MD. "Surely, they wouldn't do such a thing". I'm not going to type all of it, it's on page 5A. I'll type the last 2 paragraphs.
Here: "These are the same tactics Democrats often abhor in conservative candidates. Behind Bernie's back, the very party that extended an olive branch was scheming to cut the legs from beneath his campaign. We now know that the DNC and Clinton campaign did not run a fair race and it darkens the waters around the entire party up to November.
I personally feel disenfranchised by a party I've publicly and financially contributed to since I was old enough to vote. I imagine I am not alone."
There is a similar story in the "Daily News Record", Harrisonburg, Virginia. That's part of Kaine's state!
I think the division of the Democratic party runs deeper than you think.
Also noticed where the FBI is probing the Clinton Foundation, don't reckon they'll expose any fraud or corruption do you?

I'm very glad the republicans are concerned with the dems unity- I'm guessing ,and I could be wrong- but that both sources you quoted, are right leaning papers. so, you are right on biased media. I'm guessing FAUX news is saying the same.
but their concern is unfounded
why would you feel disenfranchised, when 90% or more of what you wanted, is in the platform?
compared to zero of what we want, in the GOP platform?
the difference between the conventions is day and night
and, our nominee isn't playing footsies with Putin.

Nope, both papers lean towards the Democratic side!
I just quoted what the man wrote! But think about it, as a rule, if someone takes the time to sit down and write a commentary, he feels very passionately about the subject.
I agree with him, his last sentence: "I imagine I am not alone".
Even if only 10% of Bernie's supporters vote for Trump, that's enough to swing things BIG.

Not surprising that 70% of the people feel we need to make changes. What is not known in that totally is what do they want changed? A different WH administration, a more conservative or liberal supreme court, a Dem or GOP Senate, a house that functions as a body that actually goes to work instead of blocking efforts on both sides. I am more and more coming to believe that Trump is not the person that will be the candidate for acceptable change for those who feel we are not functioning as we should or could. As a Nam Vet I don't need to support a chest thumping patriot that found ways not to serve. He is much like millions of front porch flag waving patriots where displaying colors comes easy but stepping forward, raising your hand to defend a nation not so much.

I heard snippets and the man was very effective. Trump made many people unhappy in ignoring the common good for his own good.
Obama was also well spoken when he said the Clinton was the person best QUALIFIED for the job. He is correct in that IF those qualifications include all the old school and experience of Washington. However, other might argue that those same qualifications are a problem and not a quality.
Tough election for sure that will result in many unhappy/worried people regardless of the winner.

I'll be the first to agree! Hillary's "qualifications" are exactly what disqualifies her! We're just sick and tired of the system!
For anyone that feels our country is headed down the right path, Clinton is your person. Steady as she goes, don't rock the boat.
Speaking for myself, I'm going to rock the boat, (I'm not alone) we're tired of the bs coming out of DC. Anything that has anything to do with the system, we're tired of! It's time for new blood running the show, and Trump offers us a just that chance!
Above where Bryce mentioned getting things accomplished on both sides of the isle, in Congress, just my opinion, I think that Trump can do that. Hillary doesn't stand a chance of getting anything done. Trump is fresh and new to government, we need a fresh start!

Did anyone happen to notice this news?
PHILADELPHIA—When they went to pick up their credentials for the Democratic National Convention this week, Victoria Sanchez and Lily Glaser were met by Bernie Sanders supporters.
The two teenagers—Sanchez, 16, of Nashua, New Hampshire, and Glaser, 15, of Rochester, New York—are Hillary Clinton supporters, an unpopular view among the protest groups that have set up camp near FDR Park, just outside the convention hall at Wells Fargo Center.
"There were a lot of people trying to get a rise out of us," Sanchez said. "I am down here and alone. They are yelling at a 16-year-old."
"It's getting exasperating," Glaser agreed. "And inside the convention, the Bernie people had signs and tape over their mouths. You could see their anger."
Throughout the four-day convention, Clinton supporters say they've been met with ridicule and anger from Sanders supporters, who came out by the thousands to protest what they say is a rigged system and a Democratic nominee they can't support. Almost absent from the week, however, is any mention of Republican nominee Donald Trump from either supporters or protesters outside the security zone.
Instead, it's the Clinton vs. Sanders supporter factions that have been at odds.
Sanchez and Glaser met at the convention. Glaser came with her dad to witness history, while Sanchez is working as a volunteer for Clinton's campaign in New Hampshire.
"My tactic is to smile back at them and say 'have a good day,'" Sanchez said. "As volunteers, we don't reciprocate negative feelings."
Rhea Beddoe, 34, of New York City, walked out of the convention Monday, saying she had enough of Sanders supporters who started booing Senator Elizabeth Warren as soon as her speech began.
"This is my third convention, and I've never seen anything like this," she said. "The Bernie people are now like Trump people. They are very confrontational."
Beddoe is easily identifiable as a Clinton supporter by her five Hillary pins, a homemade dress with Democratic donkeys on it and fingernails painted red, white and blue.
"The speakers couldn't even say anything without them booing," Beddoe said. "They are really aggressive."
Outside the perimeter, Sanders supporters line the fence. Whenever a Clinton supporter walks by, clad in buttons or pro-Clinton shirts, the crowd roars: "Never Hillary!" and "Bernie! Bernie!" A few delegates chant back, "I'm with her!" as they walk by on the other side of the fence toward the arena.
Standing among a crowd of protesters near FDR Park Wednesday, Colin Cahill carried a sign that said "Bernie forever." He said he hadn't confronted any Clinton supporters, but didn't rule it out.
"I'm not trying to start any conversations with Hillary supporters. I don't really have much to say to them," said Cahill, a 31-year-old from Oakland, California. "But you have a lot of frustration that's not recognized by Hillary supporters. If they're going to start an argument, I'm going to finish it."
Another Sanders faithful, Sandy Schoelles, also didn't rule out a war of words with Clinton supporters. She said it was a way of expressing frustration that built throughout the primary season.
"Look what they did to us," said Schoelles, 57. "They marginalized us; they didn't take us seriously. Why would we stand behind them with all they did to tear down Bernie?"
Mary Ellen Gottlieb said the tension between supporters of the Vermont senator and Clinton loyalists was coming to a head at the convention this week. Although she was covered in pro-Sanders pins and buttons, Gottlieb conceded that she'd vote for Clinton in November.
"Bernie supporters have a right to be angry," Gottlieb said. "The Democratic establishment has done a lot of things that aren't fair, and there's a reason to push back and be heard."
Emily Todd, 32, of Washington, D.C., has been getting a lot of dirty looks whenever she wears her Clinton pin at the convention. But, she says, "I am not taking it off. At this point, it's unite or die."
Todd said the Sanders supporters here are nothing compared to what she experiences online.
"On the internet," Todd said, laughing and putting her face in her hands. "We have a Hillary support group to help us deal with with how many of us are tired of being trolled by Bernie Bros, Brocialists and Brogressives."
I don't feel the DNC convention is all peachy keen. Feel the Bern!

nope, didn't see it- too busy watching the democrats unite, with excellent speeches by one person after another.
Lots of wishful thinking there redsnow-
a few disgruntled people- saw a few interviews- couldn't even tell you what is in the platform- silly kids, they don't even know they won! again , over 90% of Bernies supporters, will vote for Hillary- a much higher % than Republicans voting for Trump
Clinton up by 9 both in the latest national polls, but in PA as well
this whole trump of cards is starting to fall down- and will more so when his "ideas" really see the light of day.

We shall see!
Reading the latest news above, seems like there are a lot of upset folks.
Kids? Quote: "Look what they did to us," said Schoelles, 57. "They marginalized us; they didn't take us seriously. Why would we stand behind them with all they did to tear down Bernie?"
Three months from the election, and I expect there's a good chance that we see the Clinton Machine crumble!

From what I saw on the news you are one of the few watching. Something like 23 million watched Trump and 27 million Hillary. Supposedly those are very small viewing numbers.

One thing that keeps coming back to my mind is that one poll, that said 70% of Americans feel our country is headed in the Wrong direction.
That was dems and reps responding. Clinton offers more of the same! If that poll is true, and stays the same for 3 months, Trump will be President.

With comments that were made by Paul Ryan's chief aid regarding Trump asking Putin to release e-mails and hack US e-mail systems there may be a poor working relationship with the House GOP let alone the Dems and that means Trump will do a lot with executive orders and I have read post after post and thread where most dislike the excessive use of executive orders, so that would indicate there is a really good chance with Trump for us to have even a more intensive same thing going on.

the rep convention was so bad compared to the dems, that trump has just said "I had nothing to do with the convention, I just showed up to give a speech on the last day"
don't forget redsnow- that 70% is on both ends of the spectrum- meaning, many think the country has become too racist and too wall street orientated, and feel HC and progressive rights have taken a back seat for far too long.. You really think those people- will vote for Trump?
last night stole the show- Republicans, generals, war heros, preachers- all spoke against Trump. Right wing radio hosts- were tweeting "thank you" to Obama if you can believe it (believe it, its true) for saying trump wasn't upholding republican values, nor were they conservative values.
face it, the GOP is now the party of trump- and if and when he fails to win- that party will self destruct UNLESS people like Ryan put the country before self interest.
musher: CNN had the largest prime-time audience on the first night of the 2016 Democratic National Convention, but all three cable news networks saw ratings rise over 2012 levels.

Well, I don't put much faith in that "news" source. Did you read the comments below the story?
Not sure? Trump has faced an uphill battle to win the nomination, and I agree, he's been very loud and stepped on a lot of toes! Now, I think you'll see him focus on 3 people, Obama, Clinton and the VP pick.
Another interesting commentary in the Cumberland, MD, newspaper today. Very shameful snippets from the leaked emails from the DNC, against Sanders, and minorities. I won't try to quote the story, I read it early this morning, but once the 1,000's of emails are out, it's going to look very bad, for Clinton and her cronies!
These rosy, feel good speeches are nothing more.
Did you notice the emails from the DNC back and forth, with the news media? It said something like this: "As per our agreement". It's rigged!
Give Trump and his folks a week or so, to review the emails. I'm sure he'll save the best ones till last. For Hillary's folks, it's going to be very embarrassing! The party of shame.

bottom line-Trump is not a person I would ever vote for- plain and simple, he is a racist, and much more I abhor.
not a news story- actual tweets from gop voices

I'm just 180* opposite. Clinton is a person that I'll never vote for! With all of the scams, corruption, etc. I'd never consider her!
Read another story today, 2 retired Generals are bashing each other, one is supporting Clinton, the other one is a man of honor, and refuses to buy into the corruption.
After all of the rosy speeches, Hillary won't change a thing, she's part of the Good Ole Boy's club. Americas want change!
I live in a Democratic state, Democratic county and town, honestly, it'll surprise me if Clinton get's 35% of WV's vote!
With Trump dealing with the steel workers, miners, etc, things could get interesting!
Wait till you read the emails from the DNC. It's going to get ugly, and it will be front page news. 3 months to go.

scams outweigh the lack of sanity in the world we live in
and for me- racism stops the trump boat, and sinks it.
does paul ryan have any dignity left? "Trumps words were the textbook definition of racist...but I support him"
I live in a Democratic state, Democratic county and town
but I'm guessing not you? :>)

I mentioned this before, if I want any say in our local elections, I've got to be registered as a Democrat. Back during the primary election, several of our local folks were elected, cause there are no Republicans running for the same office. We had 6 people running for Magistrate Court Judge, 6 Dems. If I'd be registered as a Republican, I would have no say at all!
Racism? Just wait until you read the "lost" emails from the DNC!
If you're just "watching", "news" from the bias news outlets, you'll never see the anything about the DNC's racist emails! Trumps folks will take full advantage!
100 days to go, and I'll bet Trump has an Ace in the hole. We shall see!

Anyone who was watching the DNC on FOX missed the speech of the Muslim Dad who was talking about his soldier son who was killed in action and how much they love America. Talk abut media biases?
Seriously, how can anyone believe in and vote for this goof. Trump on Hillary's VP pick:
The Donald said of Hillary's VP pick Tim Kaine from Virginia, "Her running mate Tim Kaine, who by the way did a terrible job in New Jersey — first act he did in New Jersey was ask for a $4 billion tax increase and he was not very popular in New Jersey and he still isn't," Trump said during a Wednesday press conference."
Enuff said lol
My friend's response:
"No. Not enough said!! As Elizabeth Warren said, "you can't make this stuff (about Trump) up. When people say he is ill-informed and ignorant, they are understating the point."
