crayfish make a mess of our yard with their holes a mounds. There are dozen of them. We fill=in the holes but they are back next a.m. any suggestions how we can get rid of them?

Use a red LED light, like the king here www.coolflashlights.com/headlamps.html . Get a spade shovel.....wait until one hour after dark then use then spot them at their hole, creep silently and stick the shovel in the ground at a 45 degree angle. Enough to block their retreat. Then use a small garden shovel to excavate the crawdad. I did it at a house I bought and rented out. It worked well, plus I got some bait!
