I use spring loaded small long nose plier. I use it also for removing nails on beaver board. Lot easier to do with a spring loaded plier.... when you pull a nail or stapple.... plier opens for the next one.
its faster that way for me.

The cat fish pliers are spring loaded.

One word of advise when using catsfish pliers . If you just try to grab the staple and pull it out you will do a lot of cussing it dosn't work well what you have to do is twist the corner under the staple and then rock the pliers and pry the staple out . just a very quick flipp of the wrist .

I use the catfish pliers too, but they are hard to find here in Canada.
Anybody knows a good source for them on the web?
Never tried staples, but you guys are getting me thinking...
Maybe it is time to try them

Thanks - I just ordered 3.
I have one here, and I fear losing it or breaking it.
One of the most handy tool in my shed, and have never seen another canuck using one yet!
If I could only catch more animals now....
