We've a mess of mice in the house. Not abnormal for this time of year. Usually I load up a dozen traps with peanut butter and clean them up in a couple of days. This year they won't touch the peanut butter. Won't lick it off even. Whats a another can't loose bait? I'd considered bacon grease...

I've had good luck with a small piece of bacon. It's harder to get off the trigger than PB or bacon grease.

The mouse traps with the big yellow plastic pans can be set as edge sets. They run over the pan and get whacked.

I do like Calvin, but have got some new all plastic traps that seem to create more of a guide for them aginst the wall, as part of it sticks up.

It's the salt in the bacon grease that they go for. Are you sure they are mice and not voles? They are more adapt to go for the swimming pool method in the 5 gallon pail, first one in creates a party attitude with all the spashing.
