Would it be worth the $215 FoxPro charges to upgrade an FX3 to FX5? (Target animal is bobcats with a dozen coyotes per trip thrown in to pay the gas bill).

$215 is about 50 gallons of gasoline.
I bet you'll take more cats and coyotes if you use that for fuel and spend more time in the field using your existing equipment.

I upgraded from the FX3 to the FX5 and really like the new remote. That being said, it won't help you get any more fur on the ground as you only need so many sounds on your machine (FX3 holds 32 FX5 holds 200).

Depends on the areas you call and how heavy the pressure is. The more diverse my sound liabrary the better I like it! I have a few sounds in called heavy areas I use and they help call in a few extra coyotes. I use a minaska so don't know about the fox pro.

Foxpro does the upgrade. www.gofoxpro.com/My interest isn't so much the number of sounds, but rather the versatility of the TX-200 remote. That said, doing my own recording and uploading of some unique sounds could possibly be an advantage in a heavily called area.
