I have a Beretta 302 with a 22" VR barrel with choke tubes that I used for calling and "jump shooting" predators.
It was jump shooting because a coyote or cat would run across the road in front of the truck into the brush and I'd jump out and shoot em'. ;D

O/U Ruger Red Label. Top barrel has copper plated lead BB's, bottom has #4 Buck. If in more open terrain, I opt for Dead Coyote T shot for both barrels. My old 2 shot automatic!

A few years ago, I bought a BPS 3.5" 12 ga. it's a heck of a goose gun, long, 30" bbl, not worth squat in the woods. it's a nice gun, shoots good, kicks like H. I've been thinkin about sellin the darn thing, my 870 3" gun will do ALMOST the same thing, and it's a lot nicer to carry. most folks will agree, you spend more time totin' a gun than you do shooting.

I have a Mossberg 835, don't remember how long I have had it, but I bought it new, the serial number is UMO22XX, so I guess(?)I've been using it for quite a while; no camo, hardwood stock. But, for knocking around and not worring about scratching it, stuff like that, it does a very decent job on coyotes with #4buck, I think the choke I use is .712"? Yeah, sometimes I wish I had a Benelli, and other times I wish I had that 10 ga. BPS, but in the meantime, this $300 gun seems to work okay. I'd say, better than most.
Good hunting. LB

Benneli black eagle. Black eagle? is that right?. Anyways i'ts light weight and runs anything you put in it. 3 " cop bb's my favorite. The light weight is nice as I shoot it 1.5 handed while holding the light with my other .5 hand. I wanted a Ruger red label for many years and never got one. Still kind of want one. The new ones aren't as nice as the old ones are they? Seems like the last one I saw had synthetic wood stock?

I shoot a Browning BPS "Game gun". It has a short barrel with rifle type iron sights and a nice genuine walnut stock. After testing several chokes and loads, I settled on a Hastings .655 card shooter choke tube. I like the copper plated and buffered BB's in 2&3/4" the best, but they hard to find. I usually end up shooting the 3" magnums. They don't kill any further than the 2&3/4" fodder, but man it sure does thump my shoulder more. Sure kill range on coyotes is 45 yards.

I shoot a 10ga browing bps........3 1/2 mag with 2 1/4 oz of bb's and 4 1/2 drams of powder will consistantly kill them at 50 yds.

I'm a SxS guy myself. I shoot an Ugartechea 12 ga, a Lefever Nitro Special 12 ga. and a Stevens 311 12 ga.
I'd love to shoot a Purdy like that one you posted up a while back MM! I'd be afraid to tote it through my grouse woods though!
I do think my next gun will be a Boxlock SxS light english game gun 12 bore with 2 1/2" chambers. If I can ever scrape up the $$
I forgot to add....For predator and calling work, I shoot the old Mossberg 500 with buckshot. That is killing machine, a cheap gun, but It's killed everything from bats to buck and everything inbetween.

I shoot the tar out of all my guns. There made to shoot not sit in the safe. Here is a very rare Boss 20ga, 28" barrels. It has a Vent rib and the barrels are vented. This gun was owned by a qual hunter in TX. It looks good in the pic but very worn. He enjoyed the hell out of it. I never did like my 10 mag that thing must have weighted 12 pounds. I might have a few cases of 10ga Federal number 4 buck.

Oh man, Marky......I've gotta wipe the drool off my keyboard!
You've got some nice guns, and I'm glad to hear you use them!
That's a sweet Boss.
Does that purdy of yours have a safety, or was it built for live pigeons?

For hardcore hunting, mud, water you name it, my 835 has been Oh so reliable.
For Bluebird days shooting Sporty's, Trap and a lil Skeet I like my Brownings O/U.
Nothing near as SHINEY as what you are fond of Marky......those are NICE, you are quite the scatter gun specialist, among many other things..........

It's a good gun, the question is what do you want it for and what are your conditions. The Beretta is always going to be the softest shooting Semi due to the gas system. It just has less felt recoil due to this. I find them to very reliable even in the heat of battle in South America shooting well over 5K rounds and never cleaning them. You'll feel the action slowing down a bit and a quick shot of Break Free CLP will get it back to speed in seconds. These Berettas need to be shot wet, meaning spray them down and shoot away. The rival to this bad boy is the Benelli Another good gun, they work on the inertia system. Your going to feel more recoil with this set up. Now these guns can handle just about any weather condition, pouring rain will shut down a Beretta. I have never shot a Benelli under water and you shouldn't either. But having been shooting ducks in driving rain the Benelli will out shoot the Beretta gas pipe. Me I'd shoot the Extrema and let it rain. Here's a little clip of one in action, you'll need high speed internet for this 3 min clip. youtube.com/watch?v=j8p-xIs76RA
