guess I need to read the threads- some good coon info was lost- feel free ot start a coo nsnaring thread, but be assurred- it will be monitered.
Enough of the anti unethical stuff- if you want to talk ethics- I got my hobby horse we can shout about all day!
stingers work fine with slim locks- I don't know about other compressable springs

A choke spring attached directly behind a Slim lock does not work. The spring actually works to release the lock and allows the cable to slip through the lock.
Steve Craig modifies his Slim locks.
"IF" you want to use a choke spring on a Slim lock the best way would be to use a breakaway "J" hook attached to the lock then attach the choke spring.
"you don't want a choke spring on a slim lock? nonsense- some very good snarers use that combo al lthe time-" Not for long they don't, it turns the lock into a relaxing lock.
