I always used a Leggets helper to pin down the fox then got a hold of It by the neck. Reds are a bit stronger but greys are just like kittens once you get a hold of them. My buyer would come to pick up my fox, sometime their would be 20 or so In my cage that man would just reach In and grab them one at a time.I never seen him get bit but I never tried It.
My carrying cages for fox were heavy duty milk dispenser crates they used at fort Bragg. They are about 12"x12" and about 14" long with a hinged lid with a snap lock. They were a heavy duty plastic with slots and holes. They made perfect fox haulers. When i had a live market for coon I would just lay that crate down next to the coon with the door open I would push It up close to the coon and just about 90% of the time the coon would run Into the box to hide. I would just tip the box up and close the door part way pull out the trapped foot release the coons foot. Worked real good. Even had some fox do the same thing.
