I have always carwashed then waxed but wanted to dye traps this year so I boiled to clean.
For those that boil in water and whatever do you start with clean water for each bucket full of traps or just skip the top or flood out the crud and toss in another batch of traps? It took me forever to get the water boiling and only had room for 18 traps.

I don't flood it, but do skim off te crud before removing each batch- then dip and rinse in clean water. let dry and wax

I have used Muratic acid and if you just leave them in for a few minites it seems to work great and does not seem to weeken the trap springs.
