I occasionally do ADC work on the spoil islands and natural islands in the bays. Birds seek these islands out as protection against predators. Coyotes won't typically swim more than 200 yards in the saltwater down here.
Coons and rattlesnakes will swim a long ways. They can sure wreak havoc on the rare birds that choose the islands for nesting places. Those skimmers and terns will make you feel like your in a Hitchcock movie
