beav, my big 27s are bolted onto the trailor now and will stay there forever. no lifting on and off, just road jiggle when traveling. when I get to wyoming or ks , where ever, I pull the whole rig into the barn and let sit 48 hrs and then plug right in with extension cords. time to leave home, unplug and roll up cords and reverse when I get home. I have a wide yellow ratchet down strap (two) that go from eye bolts up and over each freeezer to hold them solid as a rock, no shifting or jumping when traveling. so far so good. they`ll never come off that trailor till they die, lol, or I die.

I have two OLD freezers both are over 50 years old but they were only moved once and yes they stay plugged In year round. But I still say moving them back and forth over the road and loading and UN loading Is hard on them. As to year round running on a walk In I would say If your concerned with freon being corrosive just have your technician pump down your unite after use and then re start It come time you need It. That should cover that problem.
