Thanks Beav After reading your post i put out one 160 yesterday with styrafoam on the trigger under water where i've been trying to catch rats with no luck.
Today i had a rat in that 160!
I should have put a dozen out. My next day off i will put more out.

Well I hope you get some more. In my opinion the 160 Is a better choice then a 110 for under water baited sets. It just gives you a bigger kill area. But remember It's still not a high percentage set so don't be skinning your rats before you catch them.

I don't trap anything that is 100% frozen over. But I do rap a lot of places that freeze and unfreeze- and ducks are a curse here this time of the year. I can take you out any day, and show you 100s and 100s of greenheads and honkers.

For Beaver I use white pvc, And for rats I use white pvc ans spray paint it orange to look like a carrot. For rats I went to a 160 less misses.

The last week of November we had clear ice and it was cool walking on small ponds, it like looking through glass. This only happens on the first freeze up and no other weather but clear and cold. This white pvc stuff I'm going to have to try on a couple of snare sets and ubder ice beaver sets. I think you guys are pulling my legs on this stuff.
