Oh...... fencing pliers...... actually good tool, have had one since I "borrowed" one from my dad many years ago....
A vise grips really does work much better.... it never slips.

The tip of fencing pliers are formed to a hook which just so happens to fit snugly on a sterling or #6 heavy duty rivet.
It will not slip and opens quite easily and is a more versatile tool on the trapline in my opinion!
I can cut wire, pound fencing staples, straighten mangled dogs and even start rebar out of the ground. Wouldn't be caught without one.........Zz!

I have seen Z use those pliars..... He jumps right in the catch circle with the pliars clenched in his teeth, wrastles the coyote to the ground, takes out his pliars, pulls a tooth, ages the coyote on the spot, asks the coyote "Where's your den?" and then uses the pliars as a dispatch tool. On the remake, he uses the pliars to make a simulated kickback..... GRRRRRRRR! Zagman

first it was linesman pliers.... Then when I agreeed.....bang!... it was fencing pliers... what to believe? Is everyone from New Paltz like that....kinda wishy-washy?

CANT live with out my fencing pliers...the most versatile tool a person could ask for...problem is 99% of the peple...AND 80% of the trappers dont have clue one how to use them!!! Brian...funny thing happened today...just fork'd out a $20 for those "pliers" of yours...went to a yard sale today...and bought 4 new in the box for...$4...buck a piece!!! Now I AM set for life...lol later lynx
