pogo anchors here nearly 100% water and 100% land.

In my opinion I would much rather use a T bar at each end of the drowner, set the deep end stomp It In stretch it tight to the bank and stomp In the dry or bank end. If your running a long line by boat they don't add that much weight. And you can stash them along the way when your pre scouting. And they last forever. And they don't swell up like wood.

Inquiring minds would like to know. If I used mine In that situation you would have to dive to the bottom and cut the cable LOL. Not a good way to go even driving them In would be a pain. Rocky streams chicken wire and rocks.

say beav- did you know that if you stand on a rebar stake, and it hits a hard spot so you push down harder, you can push that stake through the bottom of your boot?

i use large 1/8" cable for the slide, pogo on each end. i pull the top pogo, then wrap the slide cable around my axe handle and pull the bottom pogo out, occassionaly the bottom will get hung up so i just cut the slide cable and move on.

Not If It's a T bar stake. They are the only type I use. Point well taken. Has that happened to you?

on pogos you just drill a small hole around 3/32 or so 1/4inch from the out side edge. add a second cable 2" shorter than the main one, set them holding both cables up. when set the 2nd"release cable" will be 2" below the main cable(unexposed below ground). to retrieve just expose the loop of the 2nd cable, slide the driver, trowel or hammer handle through the loop and yank it out. by having the 2nd cable on the edge of the washer it straightens the washer out and comes up the same way it went in . on HD berks the 2nd hole and cable goes in the bottom of the "V". in the water make the top loop of 2nd cable slightly larger, and longer, leaving 6" or so exposed, retrieve with a rake. by useing a rake even in murky/muddy water yo just snag and yank.
