Great post with really good pictures. I've been using a power skinner I built. I've been thinking about inverting the animal. Pull the hide up and hold the carcass down. That would keep a lot of blood off of the hide. I'm sure that someone on CRS had tried this before. Did it work or is it a pain to do?

Mine is set up to pull horizontally, i like it best . I can roll the animal if i need to and pull the front legs easy. greg

will try later to post some pictures , i got only a couple coons today , ending a 6 day run on coyotes. any way will see if i can get some good pictures of skinning them on the winch. greg

I'm having a dificult time visualizing the gum cutting part prior to skinning. Is it the actual gums you cut or the place where the inner lip meets the gum?
