I know there are some Black Hills trappers on here- what is the # 1 prey base in the hills?

As you know I am not an expert trapper by any means so I cant really say one way or the other but I did get permission to trap 120 acres because the elderly woman loved watching the turkeys eat by her bird feeder. She said she hasnt seen them in months but have seen cats and coyotes so she wants them out of there so her turkeys come back ;D

MW pretty good chance those turkeys will start coming back in. They have been nesting. The big flocks break up in the spring and don't start really coming back together till fall. This time of year all you see are a few birds scattered around. Course when they start appearing again about Oct which should coincide with trapping? Should work out good for you.

Nope, I was drinking Lienies, YOU where drinking whiskey, remember, LOL. Maybe whiskey ran out and you switched to Lienies, or Lienies ran out and I switched to whiskey, or something like that.
