Guys, I killed a few yotes this season in snares and on my snares, I was testing ¼" galvanised lock washer as a BAD and I did not loose any coyotes. All deers and 1 moose opened all lock washer very quick. Try a few.... they just cost ¢ per 100s I did not catch a 100 yotes with them but.... they seem to do exactly what they are supposed to do. Brian, use aluminium little 1/8" rivet washers in between the spring... no rust!

Stef, Do you have to drill the hole bigger on the cam to make them fit?
What would you guess the breaking poundage is on them?

Interesting concept!
No problems with stuff slipping out of the open slot in the lock washer?
Hey, I don't see no teeth filed in your camlock with your 50# spring... yes? no?

No Marty, I was suspicious about that, but all coyotes opened them a little but not enough for a pull out.
I think you should try a few to check that out with all the #### you can kill and maybe you and " we " can get a better view of my idea??? But from what I've seen so far, it worked well for me.... Like I said, no loss so far!

Just a little word Marty...
I always took care to put the "crack" on the lock washer on the side. The lock washer "crack" is not direct in the hole of the camlock or cable.
Was just nervous a little ;D
Stef
PS: Edited because of some words did not showed up...LoL

A s l u t could be "on" crack, and without a doubt the reverse is true, but they will never be the same thing.
If my French was as good as your English;I would have a lot more fun when I go to Toronto.

I'm using a similar setup right now except I'm using 7x7 cable so I just sever 6 of the 7 strands right behind the end stop.

Would this type BAD work without the dispatch spring or would the coyotes survive too long, giving them extra time to work the washer open ??
