Bob - I sure believe you. I've had several size me up when sheep hunting or such. Arctic fox are even worse - my first experience with them was me trying to take a picture of a king eider, hearing something, and turning around to see one at about 3', evidently trying to decide if I was worth eating or not. Pretty ballsy for an 8-pound ball of fur, even if I was just packing a camera.

K-9s can't be caught in uncovered traps! Coyotes are hard to catch! You can't set barehanded!

First nite 1 yote second nite1 grey fox 3rd nite 1 coon 4th nite another yote! My favorite of all time
If you use speed dip you will catch more fox than coyote and, you will miss 70 % of the coyotes if you use speed dipped traps.

Here is a myth I found to not be true. I caught 3 coyotes 3 days in a row in the same catch circle with the blood from the others laying everywhere inside the circle from dispatching them.
Here is another: I was trapping on a cow carcus. The coyotes I were catching were really mangey. After dispatching I drug them only 15-20 feet away and left lay. I ended up catching 9 coyotes in the same spot with the pile of coyotes that close by.

I'll support one of Yottey's - The pick below is of my Father in Law. He sets all traps and snares barehanded unless it's 30 below. He claims he has no smell on his hands due to lack of oil or some jibberish like that, but I think it's mainly because he's Irish! LOL MM1
